California Paid Sick and Safe Days
In California, employees have the right to short-term leave known as Paid Sick Days. These can be used when a worker needs to take time off from work to care for themselves, care for a family member, or seek care for services related to sexual assault, domestic violence, or stalking.
Below are some resources that will provide more information on California’s Paid Sick Leave law.
Please note that some local cities have paid sick days laws in place that are more protective or provide more sick time than California state law. Please see the following resources to learn more.
